Workshops & Classes

Clinicians present techniques and information and answer questions in a group setting.  Available for piano, organ, strings, band, composition, conducting, and voice.  Specifics about topics covered, appropriate age or ability level, and the presenter are located below.  You can find the times for each workshop on the Schedule of Events page.  Your general registration fee includes all workshops (except Youth Opera Experience).

Master Classes

Master Classes are a specific type of workshop format where a participant works with the clinician one-on-one as other participants learn from watching.  Students are usually pre-selected to participate/perform in master classes.  General registration includes all master classes.

Private Lessons

Many of our visiting clinicians will offer the opportunity to have a private one-on-one lesson during the festival.  This optional activity is available to choose during your registration process.  To prepare for a private lesson, please bring current pieces/books with you with which the instructor may use to work with you during the lesson.  (An accompanist will be provided for private voice lesson times.) See below for more information.
